Jack's class had a field trip today and we went to the Jambalaya Splash Park in Gonzales. The kids all had a great time and it was really fun for me to see Jack interacting with his classmates. I drove three of them to the park and it totally confirmed that Jason and I made the right decision to stop at two children. I thought Jack and Sloan could make a lot of noise in the car, but three was deafening! Also, its one thing to be bossed around by your own children, but a totally different experience when a child you just met starts fussing at you to "press play!" from the backseat to make the movie come on. I also learned that although Jackson asks me to marry him all the time at home, I'm not the only girl in his world. He played almost the entire morning with Nicole and held her hand leaving the park all the way to the car. The two of them refused to be separated for the ride back to school, causing us to scramble to change seating arrangements. I drew the line when Jackson asked if she could come home with us. The little hussy, I mean Nicole, can be seen four kids over from Jackson in the last picture. Personally, I think I'm a little cuter :)

Mother's Day Luncheon
The kids served a Mother's Brunch at school last week and it was adorable. It was really hard to jump back and forth between their two classes, but it was worth it. Jackson brought me juice and croissants (which he proceeded to eat most of) and Sloan's class dressed up in Mexican clothes - skirts and kerchiefs for the girls and sombreros and panchos for the boys. Super cute.
Jack's Black Eye
We were awakened by screaming last Saturday morning and knew it was serious. Jack decided to make the jump from his
bed to his play table and misjudged the distance. Badly. He caught the edge of the table with his eye and his eye paidthe price. Fortunately, he is healing very quickly and now, a week later, it already looks significantly better. He should be back to being even better looking than his daddy any day now :)

Destin
We returned from our beach trip earlier this week and, needless to say, we all had a fabulous time! Some of us, me in particular, did not want to come home :) But there is always the next vacation to plan, right?!
