Sloan's New "Diamonds"

Sloan took her first step towards womanhood yesterday and found out that beauty often equals pain. She was a very big girl about it, though, and impressed the crowd at the jewelry store when she barely cried at having her ears pierced. She was happy to pick out her new "jewels," although she surprisingly chose white diamonds over pink, and she's been showing them off to everyone she's come into contact with ever since including complete strangers at the mall and grocery store. And if it was a male stranger she was also happy to let them know that earrings were only for girls, not boys.

Gone Fishin'

We took the kids fishing in the bayou that runs next to the neighborhood. We didn't catch anything, but the kids had a lot of fun anyway. When they got tired of watching their lines, they occupied themselves with playing with the bait.

San Diego Trip

Hi, everyone! Jason and I returned from San Diego last night and I'm thrilled to say it was a very smooth and drama-less trip. All our flights were on time, no luggage was lost and we had awesome weather the whole week. San Diego is beautiful and we had a lot of fun. But, of course, its always good to be back home and sleep in your own bed and get woken up to hugs, kisses, scratches from too long toe nails and elbows to the boob :)
